Fun facts about Roxanne and Trent

Where are you both from?

Roxanne: Springfield, SC. All of my family lives here and where we lived too until our recent move to Aiken, SC in September 2018.

Trent: Williston, SC. Another small town only a few miles from Springfield.

Your Love Story

How did you meet?

We met through a mutual friend. We never knew each other and found out we only lived15 minutes apart. We instantly hit it off and dated for two years then got married!

How did he propose?

It was Christmas time in Aiken, SC where all the pretty lights were up downtown. Trent took us to our favorite sushi spot and then we went walking downtown where he proposed under a huge Christmas tree. Fun fact, he proposed on December 14th. This date is special because it was also the date we started dating. We got married that following May 14th, 2011. Then, funny enough, our son, was born on the 14th too!! August 14th, 2013!

What is your favorite thing to do for date night?

We love to go out to eat! Especially for sushi and sometimes pizza! Bonus points if there is a live band and great drinks.

How do you love to spend a Saturday afternoon together?

Well, usually we are at a wedding on Saturdays, haha! But if not at a wedding, we like to spend time with our two children and work on things around our house. Yard and house projects usually get done on these days.

What do you love most about each other?

Roxanne: I love that Trent keeps me focused and straight. He's very type A and he keeps our household running smooth. My "creative mind" can be a bit frustrating to live with haha! I love how he leads our family spiritually and biblically. I also love how perfect of a dad he is. That has been the most fun watching him love on our son Jude and two daughters Ames and Remi.

Trent: Roxanne is the frequent fun and spontaneity that I need in my life. Without her I would be even more boring than I am. She is the helper I need in my life in order to make me a better man and serve our household better. There aren't many moments that go by that she doesn't have a smile on her face or that I'm not trying to get her to calm down. She and Jude have a special bond that warms my heart and draws us all closer together.
